Coaching
As a private writing coach, I help MA and PhD students see their dissertations through to submission. Whether remotely or in person, I can help plan and provide constructive feedback on written drafts, structure dissertations, tease out or establish overarching arguments, and coach clients in managing the writing process.
Publication consultation
Having published a monograph, two edited volumes, and a number of articles, chapters, essays, and reviews, I am well placed to advise scholars as they navigate the publication process.
In consulting on publication processes, I advise clients on how to write book proposals; manage and respond effectively to peer review; and present their texts in a way that will interest journals and publishers. I have helped clients secure book contracts with Oxford University Press, Brill, and Palgrave.
Research proposals and job applications
Having secured a number of funding offers for my own doctoral research, I now edit job applications and research proposals for clients applying for positions or research funds.
In editing and advising on research proposals, I have helped clients secure four AHRC PhD scholarships and a Wolfson scholarship in the UK, and two NWO doctoral fellowships and a VIDI grant in the Netherlands.
